Quartetto a Due

COLOURFUL AND EXCLUSIVE BAROQUE MUSIC

A quartet with two musicians - Jette Mogensen & Poul Høxbro  - claviorganum  -  galoubet & tambourin

There will be few who know what lies behind these exotic words. But they are actuallyt wo fascinating but little known instruments from the Baroque period.

A clavi-organ is an ingenious combination of a harpsichord and an organ. It is a costly, pretigious instrument that was found in the instrument collections in many European courts.

Galoubet and tambourin is the aristocratic versionof the shepherd's pipe and tabor, where the flute and drum are played simultaneously be one musician. This most refined version of the instrument was used in France to perform both dances as well as suites and sonatas.

Jette Mogensen and Poul Høxbro, two Danish virtuosi, have specialised in these instruments and offer a completely unique programme of both well known and seldom heard baroque music - a firework display of new but authentic sounds.

Eksklusiv og farvestrålende barok - Én kvartet – to musikere

Én Kvartet – To Musikere - Jette Mogensen & Poul Høxbro  - claviorganum-  galoubet & tambourin
